The Freedom Of Letting God Decide What Belongs On Your List
Being needed feels important.
People call you because you're dependable.
They ask for your help because you're capable.
They trust you because you follow through.
Over time, that becomes part of how you see yourself.
You're the responsible one.
The reliable one.
The one everyone can count on.Â

What If God Opened The Door Tomorrow?
One thing about the story of Nehemiah has always challenged me.
Nehemiah was ready.
When the king asked what he wanted, he didn't say:
"Let me think about that."
He didn't ask for a week.
He didn't tell the king he'd get back to him.
He knew the answer.
He knew in detail what result he wanted, what resources and materials he would need, he had a plan and could state an estimated timeframe of how long the plan would take to complete.
Wow.

For a long time, I did not think I was bitter.
A friend asked me, “Are you bitter?”
I said, “No, I’m just hurt. Disappointed.”

For years, there was a thought that kept showing up in my mind.
I didn't say it out loud very often.
But I thought it.
Maybe you've thought it, too.
"I do everything around here."
At first, it felt true.
I was carrying a lot.
Managing responsibilities.
Keeping track of details.
Remembering things other people forgot.
Solving problems.
Handling situations before they became bigger problems.
People depended on me because I had proven they could.

Pressure quietly changes you more than you realize.
Not outwardly at first.
You still show up.
You still handle responsibilities.
People still see you as dependable, capable, and strong.
But internally, something slowly shifts.
Your mind rarely rests.
You think about everything constantly.
You try to stay ahead of problems before they happen.
You carry responsibilities mentally all the time.
And after a while, pressure starts feeling normal.

Have you ever been deeply committed to serving God, yet felt worn down, empty, or quietly depleted?
Many faithful Christian women are doing meaningful work, ministry, and leadership, yet feel more exhausted than fulfilled. They assume the fatigue is normal… or worse, that it’s a sign they need to try harder.
But what if exhaustion isn’t a badge of faithfulness?
